1. Introduction

Welcome to Scents City Thika. By browsing or placing an order on scentcityperfumes.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website.

These terms govern the relationship between Scents City Thika (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you (“customer”, “you”) for all orders placed through our website.

2. Our Products

We sell genuine luxury fragrances including women's perfumes, men's perfumes, Arabian ouds, luxury oils, gift sets, and decants. All products are sourced from reputable suppliers and distributors.

Decants: Decant products are smaller portions of a full fragrance bottle, transferred into a clean spray vial. Decants are clearly labelled as such on our website and are priced lower than full bottles.

Product images are for illustration purposes. Actual packaging may vary slightly from images shown on the website. Fragrance descriptions are provided in good faith and represent our honest assessment of each scent.

We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. In the event a product you ordered is out of stock after your order is placed, we will contact you to offer a substitute, a store credit, or a full refund.

3. Pricing

All prices on our website are listed in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and are inclusive of applicable taxes. Delivery fees are shown separately at checkout and vary depending on your location.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice. The price you pay is the price shown at the time you complete your order. Sale prices apply only during the promotional period stated.

In the event of a pricing error on our website, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund any payment made, or contact you to confirm the correct price before proceeding.

4. Ordering

By placing an order on our website, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age
• The delivery information you provide is accurate and complete
• You are authorised to use the payment method provided

An order confirmation email or WhatsApp message does not constitute acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, or stock unavailability.

5. Payment

We accept payment via M-Pesa (our primary payment method). All payments must be completed before an order is dispatched.

M-Pesa STK Push: When you select M-Pesa at checkout, a payment prompt will be sent directly to your phone. Enter your M-Pesa PIN to complete the payment. Your order will be confirmed automatically once payment is received.

Manual M-Pesa: If the automatic prompt is unavailable, you may manually send payment to our M-Pesa number (0703557863) and send us your confirmation message via WhatsApp.

Payment details are processed securely through Safaricom's M-Pesa platform. We do not store your M-Pesa PIN or sensitive financial information.

6. Delivery

We deliver across Kenya. Delivery timelines and fees are as follows:

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by public holidays, weather, or courier delays. We will notify you of any significant delays. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect delivery information provided by you.

Deliveries are made Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. Someone must be available to receive the order at the delivery address. If a delivery attempt fails, we will contact you to arrange re-delivery.

7. Returns & Exchanges

Due to the nature of fragrance products, we have a limited returns policy:

• Damaged or incorrect products: If you receive a damaged, leaking, or incorrect item, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo. We will replace the item or issue a full refund at no extra cost.
• Unopened products: Unopened, sealed products may be returned within 7 days of delivery for a store credit or exchange. Return delivery costs are borne by the customer.
• Opened products: We cannot accept returns of opened fragrances unless the product is defective, as we cannot resell used perfumes.
• Decants: Decant products are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or incorrect.

8. Refunds

Approved refunds will be processed within 3 – 5 business days via the original payment method (M-Pesa reversal or bank transfer). We will confirm the refund with you via WhatsApp or email.

Refunds will not be issued for orders where the customer provided an incorrect delivery address, refused delivery, or was unavailable for multiple delivery attempts.

9. Loyalty Points

Registered customers earn loyalty points on every qualifying purchase. Points are credited to your account after your order is confirmed as delivered. Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the loyalty programme at any time with reasonable notice.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including product images, descriptions, logos, graphics, and text — is the property of Scents City Thika or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Kenyan law, Scents City Thika shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

We are not responsible for allergic reactions to fragrances. If you have known fragrance sensitivities, we recommend requesting a decant sample before purchasing a full bottle.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
